Update Structure Fire 04/29/2016

Update Structure Fire; 02:08PM; 173 S Ardmore Av; internal:/; Koreatown: Total of 4 homes damaged: 2 homes heavily damaged, 1 moderately and 1 minor. Number of occupants displaced per home, starting with the home to the furthest north and working south: Home 1 = 3, Home 2 = 3 (1 in back house that was not damaged), Home 3 = 9 (5 adults, 4 children), Home 4 = 4. Red Cross will be providing assistance to those occupants needing help (some occupants declined). No injuries reported. Pet dog, owner Nancy Marin, named "Brownie" was penned in the yard by FF from Fire Station 52 during the battle. Eng Don Maisel of Fire Station 26 brought Brownie to safety once fire was knocked down. Brownie was taken to the vet and is reported to be doing well. While the initial reports by 911 callers indicated a possible explosion, cause is still under investigation by LAFD Arson. ; FS 52; Batt 5; West Bureau; Council District 13; Margaret Stewart

FF continue to root out any hotspots and making their way into the structures, as safety allows due to collapse, to check for any victims. No injuries reported. LAFD Heavy Rescue and Urban Search and Rescue units working to stabilize vehicle (currently held in place by one tree) to prevent it from moving further down cliff.
