A total of 38 firefighters extinguished the flames in 22 minutes. no reported injuries. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0809; 12:49PM; 7317 N Tyrone Av; https://bit.ly/48q4dE9; #VanNuys; The first 18 firefighters to arrive quickly located burning contents, that had not yet spread to the structure itself, and rushed in with hose lines to extinguish the flames in 12 minutes from the time of alarm. Thankfully, the sole occupant and his dog both escaped unharmed, however the home was not equipped with smoke alarms. If the fire had started overnight, the outcome may have been tragic. We encourage everyone to ensure your home has functional smoke alarms. No injuries. Update Fatal Traffic Collision; INC#0058; 01:45AM; 7600 N Topanga Canyon Bl; https://bit.ly/48JQeJ7; #CanogaPark; *CORRECTIONS* - Three vehicle collision with *SIX* Adult Patients Total: Including TWO (a man and a woman, unknown ages or affiliation) deceased at scene and still trapped in the wreckage - LAFD will return to assist the Medical Examiner later this morning. *TWO* critical patients have been transported by LAFD Paramedics to a regional Trauma Center, and TWO additional patients with relatively minor injuries have declined offered ambulance transportation. #LATraffic: Closure of one or more lanes at or near the intersection of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Saticoy Street will continue until LAPD and Medical Examiner operations are complete, unknown duration. Motorists, expect congestion and delay, avoid the immediate area and consider an alternate route. Detours are readily available.
