Rubbish Fire; INC#1686; 08:40PM; Sb 405 Fy; https://bit.ly/4gD4sPY; Sherman Oaks; Firefighters are at a rubbish fire on the side of the freeway. Using a water tender, they were able to quickly apply large amounts of water while driving alongside the fire while firefighters deployed handlines. Two additional engines requested. Red Flag Parking Restrictions 12/17/2024

Red Flag Parking Restrictions; 03:45PM; Due to the forecasted weather conditions, the Red Flag Parking Restrictions Program will be activated TOMORROW December 18, 2024, at 8:00AM, for 24hrs. It is important that fire apparatus have room to respond quickly to a fast-moving brush fire while simultaneously allowing residents to evacuate, if necessary. During Red Flag Parking Restrictions period, vehicles illegally parked in posted locations within the Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (VHFHSZ) will be towed. Brush Fire; INC#1344; 04:43PM; 2200 Sullivan Fire Rd; https://bit.ly/3z8UaSb; Pacific Palisades; LAFD Air Ops located two small fires (each less than 30’ x 30’) located near Murphy’s Ranch, in medium to heavy brush. There is no wind at this time. The fires are located in difficult to reach areas. LAFD Air Ops conductd water drops which knocked out the bulk of the flames. Meanwhile, ground firefighters will work to gain access and cut lines around the perimeter.
