Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0229; 05:24AM; 412 S Lorena St; https://bit.ly/3YfEyeC; Boyle Heights; KNOCKDOWN: 46 firefighters extinguished the fire in 17 minutes. Occupants confirmed no other people inside the structure (the back house with three occupants was defended from any fire damage). Primary search is clear. Firefighters have fans in place to blow out smoke and will perform their thorough secondary search once visibility improves. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0487; 09:59AM; 1400 S Los Palos St; https://bit.ly/3YE3qNY; Boyle Heights; KNOCKDOWN: Over 70 firefighters extinguished the fire in 48 minutes with no injuries reported. Firefighters quickly established hose lines on the roof of the building and contained the fire to a portion of the large solar panel array atop the commercial structure. Crews are investigating the interior to ensure there is no extension. Firefighters are mopping up any remaining hot spots (expected to last about 30 mins) and the tracks will remain shut until hose lines are clear. Slow rate of spread and there are no structures threatened. All trains are stopped due to the ongoing operation. Update Jumper 04/07/2024 INC#1135

Update Jumper; INC#1135; 05:22PM; 454 N Mission Rd; https://bit.ly/3xvF3qk; Boyle Heights; Firefighters are on scene working with LAPD to assist with a man on a pillar approximately 20' above ground level. During the process to do a technical rescue and get rescue air cushion in place patient fell to ground below. Patient is being transported to Regional trauma center in unknown medical condition via Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedic Rescue. No fire personnel injuries. LAFD Resources will remain on scene for extensive equipment cleanup. Unknown duration. Metrorail has shutdown tracks eastside of LA river. Railroad Police have shutdown tracks on westside of LA river. Both Tracks will open up for normal traffic when all LAFD personnel are clear. Structure Fire - FATALITY; INC#0218; 05:13AM; 756 South Boyle Avenue; https://bit.ly/3vicZ8H; Boyle Heights; There were a total of five occupants in the home. Two patients were pulled out of the fire and transported in critical condition. A third patient was located outside the structure, on the porch, sadly beyond medical help and determined deceased on scene. The two occupants who were out of the home upon LAFD arrival are being evaluated for any possible injuries. Ages/genders unknown at this time.
