All the additionally added resources are being released and the initial response will remain on scene to conduct mop up and ensure no hot spots remain. No injuries reported. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1146; 05:55PM; 3517 E 16th St; https://bit.ly/3DRcLEE; Boyle Heights; KNOCKDOWN: 89 firefighters extinguished the fire in 39 minutes with no injuries reported. The fire was centered in an auto repair shop and extended into an adjacent commercial building as well as outside into the alley, damaging at least two vehicles. A reduced number of resources will remain on scene conducting overhaul operations. There are live, energized down in multiple spots around the structures, please avoid the area. DWP is responding. There is also an outside fire in the alley to the rear of the buildings. Crews are making good progress on both structures (bulk of the fire extinguished in the secondary building). No injuries reported. The incident is at the Greater Alarm status with 89 firefighters assigned. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0444; 09:57AM; 2500 E Whittier Bl; https://bit.ly/3FweD6f; Boyle Heights; *Corrected Address* Firefighters found an approximately 40' x 60' standalone one-story commercial building (and site of a previous burn), with no other structures threatened. Firefighters began the attack from the exterior, in defensive mode, and as the flames were quickly knocked back, transitioned to offensive mode to finish off extinguishment. Ultimately, it took 34 firefighters 18 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
