KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0935; 03:16PM; 442 W Rosecrans Av; https://bit.ly/3MbunRY; Harbor Gateway; KNOCKDOWN: Over 80 LAFD firefighters, with assistance from LACoFD and Compton Fire Dept, extinguished the fire in 41 minutes with no injuries reported. LAFD remained in command of the incident and it will be an extensive overhaul operation with LAFD heavy equipment responding to assist. LAFD resources will remain in the area into the evening and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes. Cause is not yet determined. Update Structure Fire; INC#0935; 03:06PM; 442 W Rosecrans Av; https://bit.ly/3MbunRY; Harbor Gateway; The structure has a complete roof collapse and that roof is the primary fuel burning as the building appears to be empty. The ember cast from the fire appears to have ignited a 50' trailer several buildings down from the fire. The trailer was fully involved and exposing another large commercial building. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated to confirm there was no extension into the structure. The jurisdiction of this fire (whether within County or City boundaries) is being determined and LAFD remains as Incident Command at this time. There are LACoFD and Compton Fire Dept resources on scene as well. No injuries reported. This incident is at the Greater Alarm status. The 4th patient was not involved in the collision but was on scene and requested LAFD transported for a medical complaint. There were no patients trapped or requiring extrication upon LAFD arrival. Firefighters extricated him from the ceiling and transported in critical condition. Per protocol, Cal OSHA will be notified of a workplace injury for their investigation. He has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in fair condition. No other injuries have been reported.
