Crews established hose lines, made entry, and initiated fire attack. The first 22 firefighters took just 14 minutes to contain the fire to extinguish the flames (1:46pm). No reported injuries. At least 14 people were assessed by firefighters and/or paramedics, including occupants of the bus and occupants of other vehicles involved. Three were transported in moderate condition, and six were transported in fair condition (unknown ages/genders). The rest declined ambulance transport to an area hospital, after being assessed on scene. LAPD Inc #3063. Upon arrival, firefighters found the trapped person to be deceased. Urban Search and Rescue specialists will continue their response to assist with safely removing the heavy machinery from the site, to allow other agencies (CalOSHA, Law Enforcement and the Medical Examiner) to conduct their investigation. No transport.
