Fatality Fire 01/16/2017

Fatality Fire; 05:30AM; 3730 S Edgehill Dr; https://goo.gl/maps/msKRj7YNi4A2; South Los Angeles; Fatality Fire: At 10:41PM last night, the LAFD responded to a reported structure fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to a one story, single family dwelling with light smoke showing. Upon entering the structure, they found a fire out (over stuff couch) with heavy, cold smoke in the house. A 53 year old female victim was found in the home and transported in grave condition. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Smoke alarms were present in the home but it is not known if they were functioning. This incident is under investigation by LAFD Arson and Counter Terrorism Section. PIO Dan Curry will be on scene, available to the media at approximately 6:00AM. LAFD Inc 1540.
