KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1221; 04:33PM; 8217 W Beverly Bl; https://bit.ly/4lgElRj; Beverly Grove; KNOCKDOWN: 46 firefighters extinguished the fire in 20 minutes. The building is a split level, one story in the front with two stories in the back. Fire was lapping out the first story window up to the 2nd floor at the rear of the building. Firefighters conducted a transitional attack (applying water from the outside) to quickly knock back some of the fire while crews readied for an interior fire attack. The fire was prevented from extending to the 2nd floor or the attic. One patient is being evaluated for a minor burn injury. Port Police summoned LAFD fireboats and land crews to assist the pilot (sole occupant) of a seaplane type aircraft that reportedly made an unexpected landing upon water within the Port of Los Angeles. The plane is floating, and no injury has been reported. There is no fire or fuel spill. The aircraft is now being towed by a harbor patrol boat to a nearby dock. LAFD crews will follow.
