KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0628; 11:17AM; 390 S Hauser Bl; https://bit.ly/3yVkteR; Mid-Wilshire; Firefighters ascended the 13-story apartment building constructed in 1951 to find heavy smoke on the 5th floor. Firefighters instructed residents to shelter in place to avoid hallway smoke from contaminating their units, while continuing to search for the fire. There was fire in one unit on the 5th floor. It took 51 firefighters 20 minutes to extinguish the flames. Firefighters will systematically mechanically ventilate the building to remove smoke and toxic fumes. Firefighters searched the immediate area and found no patients. They will continue to expand their search to ensure any who may need medical evaluation will be given the care they need.
