The fire was contained to the detached structure (garage?) at the alley to the rear of the address. There are hose lines (4" diameter supply lines) across the road at Western x 91s, please avoid the streets while DOT gets resources in place. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0142; 04:51AM; 1820 E 48th Pl; https://bit.ly/3DWMchm; Central-Alameda; KNOCKDOWN: 82 firefighters extinguished the fire in one hour and 34 minutes. Crews had to make their way over 150' deep into the large building filled with shelves of textiles to reach the seat of the fire. There are no injuries reported. A small amount of fire was quickly extinguished in the building adjacent to the fire unit. Crews will remain on scene through the morning conducting overhaul operations which will impact traffic in the area. Due to the size of the fire, LAFD Arson and Counter-Terrorism Section is responding for the investigation.
