Firefighters have located at least a couple of holes and plugged them, while aggressively dewatering the vessel. Crews have made great progress and are optimistic about keeping the vessel on the surface. They will continue the dewatering operation until they have evacuated as much water as possible. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1211; 05:41PM; 3950 S Nicolet Av; https://bit.ly/3J8Iuaf; #BaldwinHills/#Crenshaw; The first twenty LAFD Firefighters quickly mounted a coordinated attack, sending crews interior with hose lines and to the roof to provide vertical ventilation on what has been updated to a two-story O-shaped center hallway apartment building. It took 16 minutes to extinguish the flames, confining it to just the unit of origin (and attic space directly above). Firefighters protected the adjacent units on either side of the fire unit.
