Update CONTAINED Hazardous Materials; INC#0748; 11:30AM; 940 W Harry Bridges Bl; https://bit.ly/4gOrpjd; Wilmington; Large drum of unknown substance became dislodged from a rack inside a shipping container on the train. The drum subsequently rolled out of container coming to rest on the ground adjacent to the rail container. LAFD Hazmat units have determined the container to be sound with no substance leaking. The scene is static at this time and additional units from LA County Fire Department have been released. LAFD is in the process of coordinating with professional industrial cooperators to secure and upright the drum. LAFD will remain on scene to monitor the situation until all hazards are abated. LA City and LA County Fire departments have Hazmat squads responding. Units are in investigative mode while determining the type of substance leaking as well as the severity of the leak. Members are taking cautionary measures for themselves and all civilians in the immediate area by maintaining and 150 foot perimeter from the substance.
