Life-saving measures were taken by paramedics enroute and continued by emergency room staff, but the patient ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Firefighters used exterior firefighting lines to prevent exposure extension while salvage operations were used to prevent water damage on the 1st floor, LAFD personnel will remain at the scene to perform overhaul procedures. No injuries were reported.
