Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0377; 08:53AM; 123 W 31st St; http://bit.ly/2I90Ma6; Historic South-Central; 105 firefighters battled a commercial blaze near USC (several blocks east of campus) in one unit of a row of commercials, extinguishing the fire in 1 hour and 55 minutes. Within the first 10 minutes, firefighters withdrew from the structure and engaged with defensive tactics, deploying hose lines from adjacent rooftops and ladder pipes. The fire was fueled by textiles inside the business. The roof collapsed on top of the burning textiles with no one inside - no compromise to surrounding structural integrity. After an hour and a half, ladder pipes were shut down and companies continued chasing the fire inside with hand lines to achieve final knockdown. No reported injuries. Unk cause/loss.
