Trapped Vehicle 01/27/2020 INC#0199

Trapped Vehicle; INC#0199; 04:19AM; 954 W Florence Av; http://bit.ly/2GnNAxF; Vermont Knolls; LAFD responded to a single vehicle collision (vs pole) involving LAPD vehicle and reports of officers trapped. Two LAPD Officers were out of vehicle prior to LAFD arrival (multiple LAPD units responded to their Help call and assisted). The patrol vehicle was fully involved in fire on LAFD arrival and firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. Despite initial reports, there was no K9 Officer in the vehicle. Both officers (Males approx 28 and 30yo) were transported with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries reported. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1461; 10:00PM; 10770 W Lawler St; http://bit.ly/2Rz8dfy; Palms; Firefighters found fire coming from a roof vent upon arrival. One bathroom contained a small amount of fire in the ducting near a fan motor. 26 firefighters located and extinguished the fire in the vent and walls in 26 minutes. No reported injuries. Update Hazardous Materials 01/14/2020 INC#0681

Update Hazardous Materials; INC#0681; 02:10PM; 330 E 93rd St; http://bit.ly/3aclS4n; Green Meadows; Los Angeles (City) Fire Department responded with Firefighter-Paramedics and Hazardous Materials Specialists to Jordan High School and 93rd Elementary, which are both within the city limits of Los Angeles, for exposure to an unconfirmed substance that fell from above after an aircraft passed over the school at a relatively low altitude (substance reportedly smelled like fuel). A total of 16 patients were evaluated with minor complaints. No one was transported by LAFD to the hospital. All patients were released on scene to parents or family members. Note: Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to different schools nearby that are outside the City of LA, within the areas the LA County Fire is responsible for.
