While in an offensive firefighting mode firefighter used a coordinated effort between fire attack and roof ventilation to prevent further extension throughout the Two-story garden-style apartment building with one unit well involved with fire. No injury reported. UPDATED: Outside Fire; INC#1183; 05:14PM; 450 E 54th St; https://bit.ly/4lA1YER; #SouthPark; Outside rubbish fire involving a shed and pallets of hand sanitizer. Fire is exposing but not involved with a one-story commercial building. Firefighters are preparing for an extended operation, currently allowing the alcohol-based hand sanitizer to burn off and protecting exposures. Incident Command has requested additional resources, for a total of 66 firefighters on scene, as well as large quantities of Class B foam and sand to manage runoff. Also requested: DWP for wires down on scene, LAFD HazMat specialists, and County Health HazMat. Wires are down across the railroad tracks, requiring trains to be shut down. Due to the distance to the nearest fire hydrants, additional resources dispatched to establish a water supply.
