After firefighters made entry to fight the fire, an interior collapse caused several members to be trapped. A mayday was put out on the fire ground and rescue operations ensued. One member is being transported in unknown condition, while the rest remain on scene to continue working the incident. Three patients sustained burns (35-year-old male, 30-year-old female, and 10-year-old) and have been transported to a local hospital. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1132; 03:34PM; 6502 S 4th Av; https://bit.ly/3g4hoBd; #HydePark; Firefighters found a vacant/boarded-up single-family home fully involved with fire and threatening another vacant home next door. Twenty-eight firefighters engaged in an offensive attack on the main structure to extinguish the flames in 24 minutes, and boldly defended the adjacent building to spare it from damage. There were no known occupants inside and no reported injuries.
