Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0890; 02:58PM; 447 S Berendo St; https://bit.ly/3tPnwCB; Koreatown; Firefighters quickly engaged with flames on the top floor, preventing further spread throughout the apartment building, and extinguished the fire in 16 minutes. Firefighters used a minimal amount of water to effectively extinguish the fire to prevent additional damage, however smoke from the fire unit filled the hallways. Firefighters will mechanically ventilate the structure with blowers and strategic flow control, using doors and windows, to clear the smoke. A thorough search of the fire unit, thankfully, revealed no patients.
