Significant progress is being made on what is now a Greater Alarm fire, with 97 LAFD personnel assigned in largely defensive operations on a structurally unstable vacant 1 story home that was fully involved on firefighters arrival, with fire extension to the attic of an adjacent 2 story craftsman-style home to the north, as well as a 900 square-foot guest house at the rear of the property. Minimal fire extension also occurred and has been contained (balcony only?) at an occupied 3 story garden-style apartment building to the south. One firefighter is being evaluated for a minor injury. One civilian from the apartment building is being treated for a minor burn injury.
