Update Structure Fire; INC#1062; 04:25PM; 1119 W Hewitt St; http://bit.ly/2QOFbt6; San Fernando; No one was home in the structure (secondary residence to the rear of the property) that burned, however a functional smoke alarm in that living space is what alerted a neighbor, who called 9-1-1 and contributed to firefighters being able to arrive in time to save all surrounding structures. Sadly, there was one canine home at the time, who ultimately perished during the fire.
