With 101 LAFD Firefighter assigned in well-coordinated defensive operations, this incident has escalated to Major Emergency status, and is formally known as the "Long Beach Fire". Firefighters continue to battle flames in a fully involved 100' x 100' one-story commercial building, the scene of a previous fire.
