Total personnel assigned is approximately 320 (including all agencies), and only civilian injury and one first responder injury have been reported from this incident. The total number of structures previously threatened and evacuated has been ubdated to 628, with none seriously damaged or destroyed. We are pleased to note that first responders worked tirelessly to get evacuated residents promptly back into their homes *within the same day*. Structures Destroyed: 0With intermittent wind gusts and very low humidity, firefighters will continue working through the day in very steep, cliff-like terrain to ensure flames do not move past control lines. Tactical patrols will be on the lookout for smoldering hot spots, so as to respond to any increase in fire activity. We are working vigorously ahead of an anticipated Santa Ana wind event that is expected to begin Wednesday night through Friday. The incident command post and media staging are located at Will Rogers State Beach just south of the main guard shack. The grant funded Fire Integrated Real-time Intelligence System (FIRIS) was tasked by the Incident Commander to provide perimeter mapping and heat source detection throughout the night using fixed-wing aircraft, and super computer-based fire prediction modeling. All evacuation orders were lifted at 8:00 pm on 10/21/19. We appreciate the community’s cooperation following direction from public safety personnel. We respectfully request residents drive cautiously, as emergency workers and large fire equipment moves through our communities over the next few days.
