Forty-one LAFD Firefighters took just 12 minutes to force entry, confine and fully extinguish flames on the first floor of a vacant/boarded 2,110 square foot craftsman-style home (built 1913), the site of a previous fire. A severely burned adult male civilian (unknown site affiliation) was encountered outside the home on LAFD arrival. He was transported to an area burn center in critical condition. No other injuries reported. Though the premises contained evidence of a homeless encampment, the specific cause of the fire remains under investigation.
