KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0797; 12:58PM; 11937 S Hoover St; https://bit.ly/49QnZcv; #VermontVista; Firefighters responded to a one-story row of bungalows with fire in the common attic, but just over one unit. Crews quickly extended hose lines into the structure to apply water to the seat of the fire, and ascended ladders to the roof for vertical ventilation, allowing the smoke and heated gases to escape. Ultimately, it took 31 firefighters 25 minutes to extinguish the flames. Crews confined the flames to only the unit of origin, and prevented any damage to the adjoining units. No reported (human) injuries, as no one was home at the time of the fire. Sadly, one canine was found deceased inside.
