Knockdown Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#0008; 03:03AM; 1915 E 7th St; http://bit.ly/2ZLKteN; Downtown - #ArtsDistrict; It took 186 Los Angeles Firefighters 2 hrs and 53 mins to fully extinguish fierce flames that consumed Payman Fabric, a wholesale fabric firm in the downtown Arts District that occupied a 10,360 square-foot one story building. The relentless rotational effort of LAFD responders spared the two adjoining businesses, an art and craft supply business to the east, and what appears to be a paint firm to the west. Though no civilians were injured, three LAFD members required medical care due to the prolonged battle, including two who were injured, and another who experienced exhaustion. None of the men's injuries or illness was considered life threatening. The trio were taken to the hospital for first care, and were expected to be treated and released. The cause of the fire remains under active investigation.
