Hazardous Materials Investigation; INC#0868; 01:02PM; 437 N Vermont Av; https://bit.ly/4cXCTzu; #EastHollywood; PRELIM: LAFD personnel, including hazardous materials specialists, are working to stop a vapor leak from a ~500 gallon stationary propane tank adjacent to a State office building. There is no fire. As a precaution, ~25 occupants of the the State office building have been calmly evacuated without any injury or illness noted. All occupants of the adjacent American Career College have been asked to shelter in place until the situation is resolved. #LATraffic: Full closure of Vermont Avenue (northbound and southbound) between Rosewood Avenue and Oakwood Avenue until the leak is secured and LAFD operations are complete. Unknown ETO. Travelers, expect congestion and plan an alternate route.
