Update FORWARD PROGRESS STOPPED Brush Fire; INC#1422; 07:45PM; 4926 E La Calandria Wy; https://bit.ly/4cmngAn; El Sereno; The coordinated work between LAFD Air Operations providing water drops and ground based firefighters aggressive fire attack stopped all forward progress. The four homes at the top of the ridge were defended with only minor damage to a patio cover in the backyard of one home. One of the threatened homes was under construction, placing it at much higher risk, but the decisive actions of the firefighters ensured it was not damaged. The fire was held (size updated via LAFD Air Ops) to approximately one acre.
