Confined Space Rescue; INC#0688; 11:23AM; 222 N Hill St; https://bit.ly/48NGJJR; #DowntownLA; A man fell down a shaft approximately 30 feet down (air vent?) and became trapped. LAFD Firefighters responded and, due to the depth and (narrow) width of the space, realized that ladders, or putting a rescuer (second person) in the shaft, were not the best options. Crews lowered a harness and rope down to the man and successfully (and quickly) raised him out of the shaft. Thankfully, he was awake and alert, with no obvious injuries. Paramedics performed an assessment and will transport him to a local hospital for further evaluation, due to the long distance of the fall.
