[UPDATE] Jumper; INC#1368; 05:16PM; 333 N Los Angeles St; https://bit.ly/3Pavki6; Downtown; [Situation Static] LAPD is using pry bars through a pedestrian safety fence on a freeway overpass to restrict the patients movements. Rescue air cushions are deployed on both sides of the freeway. Additionally, CHP has both sides of the 101 freeway shut down to through traffic. Report of a person threatening to jump off an overpass to the 101 freeway in downtown LA. LAFD, CHP and LAPD on scene. [UPDATE] Hiker Rescue 04/28/2026 INC#1360

[UPDATE] Hiker Rescue; INC#1360; 05:12PM; Mulholland Dr; https://bit.ly/4cD55tJ; Tarzana; LAFD ground units and LAFD Air Operations responded to a reported injured hiker on a fire road. Initial reports suggest a possible mountain biker with 4 non-LAFD personnel with patient. LAFD Air Operations located an approximately 50 year old male with a lower extremity injury. Condition of patient is unknown and unconfirmed at this time. LAFD paramedics were lowered down from the LAFD Rescue Helicopter to the patient. Patient was medically assessed and then prepared for a safe hoisting operation up into the LAFD Rescue Helicopter. Anticipating an approximately 1 hour overhaul operation. 1 patient unconfirmed age and gender was transported. Unknown medical condition and medical complaint at this time. At 0820 AM James M Wood IC declared an official knockdown of the fire. E13 arrived on scene to find a 2 story garden style apartment with heavy smoke showing from the attic. LAFD units are in offensive mode. An emergency traffic alert via the radio was issued due to a compromised roof and partial roof collapse. No injuries were reported, Red Cross notified, LADOT notified, LABS notified, LADWP notified and the Southern California Gas Company notified.
