Wires Down; INC#0632; 09:12AM; 460 N Gaffey St; https://bit.ly/3K8FzR5; San Pedro; Units arrived to find a severed power pole with wires down at the SB 110 Freeway at Gaffey. LAFD is diverting traffic at First St and Gaffey, while street while crews from DWP and DOT make the transition of command. CHP has shut down the SB 110 freeway at Pacific and Channel. Update Traffic; INC#0805; 12:04PM; 11009 W Burbank Bl; https://bit.ly/3ONhL7F; North Hollywood; Now reported as a two-vehicle collision with one vehicle into the power pole, causing down power lines. The vehicle into the pole is an EV with auto fire and it will be an extended duration operation because firefighters can not get close to the vehicle due to the power lines. LAFD HazMat is enroute to assist. Two patients are being evaluated for what appear to be minor injuries, there have not yet been any hospital transports. The intersection is closed and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes. No further updates are anticipated. There was no entrapment, any occupants were out of the vehicle upon LAFD arrival. There are downed power lines adjacent to a small liquor store which has been evacuated for safety. The area is being secured and traffic is closed in all directions at the intersection. DWP was notified for their response. Two patients are now being evaluated for unknown injuries. The exposed structure was defended from damage.
