UPDATE Structure Fire; INC#1019; 02:35PM; 1400 S Los Palos St; https://bit.ly/43KcUbU; Boyle Heights; Update at 5:05 PM on 6/19/26: Due to an expected change in wind conditions, there was a flare-up inside the structure, which was anticipated by crews on scene. More smoke is currently visible in the area of this incident; however, there is no additional hazard. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1006; 03:00PM; 1512 W 8th St; https://bit.ly/3QOJPsO; Westlake; Firefighters achieved knockdown on the first and second floors before proceeding to extinguish fire in the attic. Neither exposed structure was affected by fire, and no injuries have been reported. Knockdown in 29 minutes with approximately 100 firefighters working. A Smoke Advisory remains in effect for LA City Genasys zones 1239, 1241, 1279A, 1279B, and 1281. Additional fire companies are en route to scene following the discovery of a pocket of fire in a freezer container in the commercial structure. While the fire on the roof has been extinguished, no knockdown has been called.
