Matt McKnight will forever be remembered as an exemplary person, leader, family man and friend. He was admired and greatly respected by all who knew him.

In order to ensure financial support for the memorial, a Matthew G. McKnight Memorial Fund was created. Tax-deductible donations will be used to pay for expenses incurred by the event and the purchase of memorial items to be permanently designated at MFC. These items include three bronze medallions in his honor to be placed at designated locations, and the construction and mounting of a custom-built display as a tribute to his memory.

Donations can be made via the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation website. If you choose to Submit a donation, please be sure to enter the words McKnight Memorial in the "Purpose" box on the next screen.

Your monetary gift will serve to keep his memory alive and honor his contributions to the Communications Center, the LAFD, and to the citizens he served.
