Fortunately, a retaining wall assisted with partially stabilizing the vehicle. LAFD Heavy Rescue 3 and USAR 88 will work together to remove the vacuum truck from its precarious location. Firefighters held the fire to approximately one acre, with no reported injuries. Crews will remain on scene to improve the line around the perimeter and extinguish hot spots within the burn footprint. Investigation revealed that a faulty piece of equipment and its ducting were the culprit of the smoke. 32 firefighters quickly eliminated the heat and source of smoke in 20 minutes (10:03 PM), after a thorough investigation to ensure no fire spread through the ducting elsewhere in the building. Structure Fire; INC#0807; 02:27PM; 23234 W Victory Bl; https://bit.ly/38cTEGc; Woodland Hills; Firefighters found contents burning in one room of a one-story single-family home. An aggressive interior fire attack with coordinated vertical ventilation by 26 firefighters resulted in extinguishment after 14 minutes (2:41 PM). Firefighters performed a second search after the fire was out and found one adult male decease, in a manner unrelated to fire or smoke. No firefighter injuries. The cause of the fire is under active investigation.
