They located and transported one 58 yo female patient with critical burn injuries. Initial investigation of cause of fire and injuries appear to be smoking in bed. Cliff, Vehicle; INC#1137; 05:30PM; 46 Saddlebow Rd; https://bit.ly/3d324Di; outside city; Ventura Co Fire and LAFD worked together to safely rescue an (elderly) adult male from approximately 200' down a cliff side. While his vehicle did not go down the cliff (it was teetering and a few more feet would have caused it to go down), when he exited the car he lost his balance and fell down the very steep (too steep for rescuers to walk down) hill side. VCFD helicopter conducted the hoist operation and air ambulance. Fortunately, the patient did not appear to have any life threatening injuries. LAFD Heavy Rescue is on scene to assist with pulling the vehicle back to the road. The original 9-1-1 call was received at 4:24PM.
