[FORWARD PROGRESS STOPPED] Grass Fire; INC#1721; 08:15PM; Sb 405 Fy; https://bit.ly/3VpQ6No; Sherman Oaks; Sepulveda IC has reported the all forward progress of the fire has been stopped. And the IC has reported a knockdown at 2054 hours, approximately 39 minutes from the 911 call. Originally two separate spots burning, now out. One spot 25 feet by 100 feet and a second spot 40 foot by 40 foot. No structures threatened or damaged. Fire crews will remain on scene to secure the fire and put out any hot spots within the perimeter of the fire. CHP is assisting with traffic control. No wind and there are no structures threatened. LAFD is reporting multiple spots and requested an additional three fire companies. Cause of the fire at this time is unknown. Reported to be in the park near the Sepulveda dam. [UPDATE] Getty Fire 80% Contained Brush Fire; INC#1500; 04:22PM; Nb 405 Fy; https://bit.ly/4xhwuIT; Getty Fire Bel-Air; Update: 9/11/26 4:00 p.m. The Getty Fire is now 80 percent contained. With improved mapping, the fire's footprint is estimated at 15 to 17 acres. Crews have worked hard on mop-up over the past two days, and it shows. Today's drone flights found no hot spots within the fire's interior. [UPDATE 09/11/26 Getty IC - 40% Containment] Brush Fire; INC#1500; 11:55AM; Nb 405 Fy; https://bit.ly/4xhwuIT; Bel-Air; Getty IC reporting 40% Containment on the Getty Fire, as LAFD firefighters continue to monitor the area following the recent brush fire. Last night was uneventful, with no flare-ups reported. This is good news, and we are thankful the fire area remained quiet overnight. Over the past two days, LAFD drone teams have continued aerial reconnaissance and mapping of the burn area. The drones have provided valuable information, particularly in areas of steep and difficult-to-access terrain, helping crews identify and monitor potential hot spots from above.
