The Los Angeles Fire Department is supported by several non-profit public benefit and foundation organizations. These 501(c)(3) NGOs provide specific, needed support to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The services they provide fall outside of the scope of the department and/or the City of Los Angeles' operational budget. All organizations have been fully vetted and operate under relevant formal Agreements, including trademark and rights Agreements. We invite you to visit these organizations to learn more about them, and if possible, to support them in their important and valuable missions.

Support Fire and Life Safety Education in Los Angeles
Teaching kids about fire and life safety
My Safe:LA is an information resource and education environment for anyone living in the greater Los Angeles community. The ongoing goal is to provide the public with information that can be used to increase awareness about important safety issues in the home, school and office. MySafe:LA expends significant effort teaching children in Los Angeles about fire and life safety. In 2010, the organization reached 33,800 children. This is the only formal fire and life safety partner program for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
MySafe:LA does not utilize any LAFD budget monies to operate. It develops relationships with foundations, grants, and private sector giving. If you are interested in seeing education in fire and life safety continue in the L.A. area, consider a gift to this California non-profit public benefit corporation 501(c)(3).
