Several apartment units declared uninhabitable by LADBS -- American Red Cross, LA Department of Recreation and Parks, MTA, LAPD, and LA Emergency Management Department assisting approximately 90 displaced residents with transportation and shelter. LAFD Incident Command has ordered resident and firefighter safety prioritized, as the incident clock nears the two-hour mark and portions of the first floor are reportedly compromised. Evacuated residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross and LAPD, with MTA buses en route for transportation needs. No further injuries have been reported. It is important that fire apparatus have room to respond quickly to a fast-moving brush fire while simultaneously allowing residents to evacuate, if necessary. During Red Flag Parking Restrictions period, vehicles illegally parked in posted locations within the Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (VHFHSZ) will be towed. For areas in the VHFHSZ, please look for the "Red Flag Days" no parking signs and ensure you do not violate the restriction.
