Fire crews coordinated simultaneous rescue, roof ventilation, and interior fire attack. ***Two patients (47F/61F, both in fair condition)*** transported to local hospitals by LAFD paramedics. Heavy fire on the second floor knocked down in 39 minutes with 62 firefighters working on scene. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1599; 06:34PM; 8151 N Yarmouth Av; https://bit.ly/4l0MIkP; Reseda; It took 35 firefighters 16 minutes to locate and extinguish a contents fire within the residence. Initial reports of trapped persons proved to be inaccurate, with primary and secondary searches deeming the occupancy clear. All residents were able to exit home safely, but will be assisted by Red Cross due to the displacement from their home. No injuries to LAFD personnel reported. Cause of fire is unknown. Due to the type of fuel (CNG) the truck uses, LAFD Incident Commander has requested HazMat specialists to assist in mitigating any further hazards to the firefighters as well as surrounding community.
