A structure defense group has been deployed to surrounding structures for structure protection. No injuries at this time and CHP has been requested to shut down the 2 Freeway. There is no wind and the fire is slow moving. Firefighters are operating in an offensive mode. No structure threatened. Approximately 49 firefighters were dispatched to the fire. The fire was extinguished within 22 minutes of the 911 call. 2 patients are being transported to a local hospital.
