The effort to fully stop the leak could take as much as two more hours (~ 2:30 PM?). Though natural gas can be flammable at specific concentrations, LAFD Hazmat experts are using special sensors to monitor natural gas fumes in the community, and have identified no specific concern beyond the initial 500' precautionary zone. There has been no fire, and no one has experienced any illness or injury. Winds remain light and variable. Out of an abundance of caution, approximately 25 homes, businesses and a house of worship along a one block segment of Saticoy Street east of White Oak Avenue, including 8 homes on Jellico Avenue just north and south of Saticoy Street will remain evacuated until the situation is fully controlled. While no additional evacuations are anticipated, any such actions related to this event would be highly local, and made via door-to-door notification by uniformed Police or Fire officials.; FS 73; Batt 17; Valley Bureau; Council District 12; Dispatched LAFD Units: BC17 CE84 CM42 E100 E103 E290 E73 E88 EM10 HM75 PI3 RA100 RA73 SQ87 T73 T90; Radio Channels: 8; 12; - Brian Humphrey
