Advisory; 05:00PM; 8300 - 8800 La Tuna Canyon Rd; http://bit.ly/9JanuaryLaTunaCanyon; #LaTunaCanyon; The Los Angeles Police Department has issued a MANDATORY Evacuation Order for the La Tuna Canyon burn area due to the recent storm activity and debris flow. Individuals who reside in 23 homes between 8300 La Tuna Canyon Road and 8800 La Tuna Canyon Road are being evacuated by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department. Residents on La Tuna Canyon south of these addresses are encouraged to voluntarily evacuate. A hard road closure continues to be in effect for La Tuna Canyon Road from Sunland Boulevard to the 210 Freeway due to the amount of debris affecting the area. The evacuation order and the hard road closure are anticipated to remain in effect until the roads can be cleared and the threat to these residences reassessed.
